Dr. Michael Wiles graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 1976. He also earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, a Master of Education (Educational Administration) from Brock University, and a Master of Science (Medical Education Leadership) from the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following graduation as a chiropractor, he completed a residency program in chiropractic sciences and was awarded one of the first earned Fellowships in the College of Chiropractic Sciences of Canada. He operated a busy urban multidisciplinary practice for 27 years while holding numerous academic positions at CMCC during that time, including teaching Chiropractic Principles and Practice for almost 30 years. He has authored numerous professional papers and book chapters, as well as two textbooks for chiropractors. He served at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota from 2005-2009 as Dean of the College of Chiropractic and from 2009-2014 as Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs, and later as the Dean of Clinical Affairs at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas.  He currently serves as Dean of the College of Chiropractic Medicine at Keiser University, West Palm Beach, Florida.
