Holger Cramer, PhD is Research Director at the Department of Internal and Integrative Medicine, Kliniken Essen-Mitte, Faculty of Medicine, University of Duisburg-Essen, Essen, Germany. He also holds a fellowship from the Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine (ARCCIM) at the University of Technology Sydney through the International Complementary Medicine Research Leadership and Capacity Building Program. He is current Secretary and member of the Board of Directors of ISCMR. Dr. Cramer has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles on complementary and integrative medicine. He sits in the editorial board of over 10 peer-reviewed academic journals, including roles as Section Editor for BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine and Associate Editor for Global Advances in Health and Medicine and Complementary Therapies in Medicine. His research focus is the utilization, efficacy and safety of non-pharmacological interventions using clinical, epidemiological and qualitative research approaches. Dr. Cramer teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in complementary medicine, mind/body medicine, medical psychology and research methodology. He is a clinical psychologist and state licensed naturopath and completed training in traditional European Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and mind/body medicine.
